Today started with my mentor Missy Votel walking me through the formating of the calendar section I wrote yesterday. We also corrected any spelling errors I had made and after that I wrote two breakout boxes, Breakout boxes are events that we have gone a bit more in depth with to help break up the monotony of the calendar pages. After that, I was able to refine the crossword I wrote and write the thumbs. The thumbs are six sentences, each one written on either a positive or negative newsworthy event that has occurred recently. Finally, I translated a news brief into article material.
