Los Cuentos Infantiles Project
Reflection Overall, this project allowed me to connect with my spanish class in a new way. By giving me a chance to use both my spanish and my photoshop skills, this story helped me to further my understanding of spanish. But for me, the best part of the project was the exhibition. It was my favorite because it allowed me to test my story telling, Photoshop, and Spanish skills against an actual, fairly picky audience that would tell me what the flaws were and show me what they enjoyed about my story. For these reasons, I enjoyed this project, and cannot think of a way to improve it. Had I been in charge of the project, I would have kept it the same, as it was education, engaging, and challenging for me as a student.

Description This project allowed us to apply our knowledge of spanish to a real life situation. To begin, first we read a portion of a story called Pobre Ana to get an idea of what stories sound like in spanish. Then we read several Spanish childrens stories and found some common themes and techniques that we could apply to our own stories. After this we were given blank books to add pictures and words to. Next, we began to write our stories in Spanish, looking up new words as necessary. After that we created images to use, either by drawing or using Photoshop. A few of us also used images found on the web. Once we had created these stories, it was time for an exhibition. The exhibition for this project involved going to an elementary school and reading our new books to first and second graders with spanish classes.
